Turkey & Turkey Hunting
Hi William:
Welcome to the Turkey & Turkey Hunting Web Pro Staff! You have been selected to be an inaugural member.
The purpose of this Pro Staff is to highlight our most loyal and serious customers. We will expand the staff in the months to come, but we want to limit its membership to only a handful of participants for each state.
Although inclusion in the Pro Staff is a voluntary and honorary appointment, we will periodically reward staff members who are most active on the Web site. Most members have already been extremely active on our forums. We will continue to count on you to be the movers and the shakers on all topics related to turkey and turkey hunting. Keep the threads
going and keep providing your excellent insights.
Turkey & Turkey Hunting got its start from Turkey magazine, which was a fraternal, grass-roots book featuring tips and tales from die-hard turkey hunters. We hope this Pro Staff will take us back to that spirit for our online efforts. Therefore, we will be asking all Pro Staff members for your ideas on how we can improve turkeyandturkeyhunting.com — what you'd like to see online, what would be most helpful, what you like most or least about the site. This is your site … we want to make it the be-all-end-all site for all turkey hunters — just
like the magazine.
WHAT THE T&TH WEB PRO STAFF IS NOT
While we always appreciate lively debate, I need to remind you that our expectations for our Web Pro Staff are much higher than for the casual user of our forums in terms of conduct.
We want our Pro Staff to exhibit a friendly and welcoming spirit - one that makes users want to join in on the conversation. The T&TH forum is not a place for arrogant, pompous statements that belittle others with whom you disagree. It is also not an intellectual competition.
Passion is good, but we need to remember that there are new, young and less-experienced hunters visiting the forum for the first time. Let's concentrate on making Turkey & Turkey Hunting Online a fun and educational place to visit. Let's view ourselves as ambassadors for turkey hunting.
We have many great things planned for the T&TH Web Pro Staff. And while this program is indeed in its infancy, we need to conduct ourselves in ways that seek to promote that "turkey camp" spirit - especially as the first generation of online staffers privileged enough to be on the ground floor of such an exciting opportunity.
MOVING FORWARD - WITH YOU ON BOARD!
As we move forward, we will unveil a new Web Pro Staff Team page that will include your bio, photo and links to your posts. This will allow all turkeyandturkeyhunting.com visitors to read your comments and reviews. The page will also include a Pro Staff Gear Review forum page. Here, we will ask you to check in with your candid, honest opinions on the hunting gear you use in the field. Consider this your personal “Consumer Reports” section.
Attached are two logos that you can use for your TTH Web membership. The larger one is one for your profile page and the smaller one for your Avatar, if you choose.
Make use of the avatar, and please feel free to start posting as a Turkey & Turkey Hunting Web pro-staffer!
As you can see, we have a lot in store for this exciting new venture. Welcome to Team TTH.com!
Best,
Brian Lovett
